About MTA
The Manchester Transit Authority has a long term presence in the City of Manchester with combined resources for public and school transportation.
The MTA was established by the City of Manchester on May 1, 1973 to provide mass transit service for the community. In addition to public transportation, the MTA provides pupil transportation for the Manchester School District.
Our Mission
To provide safe, accessible, dependable, clean and affordable transportation through a dedicated, professional, and customer-focused workforce.
We currently operate out of a professional building on 8.3 acres within the downtown Manchester area.

The MTA Commission
A five member Commission appointed by the Mayor and Board Aldermen governs the MTA.
